Hi, My name is LeSha. I am married to Rob and he and I have been married for 25 years. Whoot whoot!! I am a mother of 6 children. 5 Daughters and 1 Son. I know, poor guy. I have 3 married daughters and 4 grandchildren with 1 more on the way. It is super cool being a grandma. I tried getting the grands to call me gram (like in Berestein Bears) but so far no takers. The oldest of the grands is 5 which by the way is the same age as my youngest. Yes, I know, Father of the Bride II, I was pregnant at the same time as my oldest. Our babies were due a couple days apart, but my little one came nearly two months early. I was fortunate, she only had to stay in the hospital for 3 1/2 weeks. Not saying that the stay in the hospital was a breeze, it wasn't filled with super serious complications like others, but it was still a mountain of stress for me and my husband. So, I have a large age range difference in my children. My next youngest up from the baby (who isn't much of a baby anymore, she's 5) is another daughter who is in 7th grade. Quite a jump between the two of them.
I love love love to create. Some of the things I enjoy are: decorating, sewing, crochetting, quilting, crafting, scrapbooking, cardmaking, photography, cabinet making, painting, and pretty much anything else.
I grew up in Minnesota. I went to Rick's College (what it was called back then) for two years. I got my 2 yr degree in Business Management. I moved to Utah the next summer after that. My first job in Utah was as a seamstress on an assembly line of seamstresses making army tents. Very interesting job by the way. I was an Elementary School crossing guard for 9 1/2 years for a local school. I cleaned homes and time-share condo's for 15 years. I have lived the last 25 years in St. George, Utah. We live in Dammeron Valley right now, which is about 15 minutes up the road from the city of St. George. It is substantially cooler here, which is a nice break from the furnace of St George. St George is located about an hour 1/2 north-east of Las Vegas Neveda---that's why we are a furnace here too. I have moved in the St George area well over 10 times. Some just because, other times because we were trying to do the bigger and/or the better thing. I wonder now if all those moves were necessarily good for the children, most of the moves were (we thought) because we were trying to provide better experiences and/or better circumstances for our children. Who knows. Some of complained about all the moving and a couple thought it was a good thing.
I pride myself in "being there" for my children and my family and friends. Sometimes I get the opportunity to "be there" for them which I really enjoy. Life is full of unexpected surpirses and disappointments.
I am the oldest of 7 children. I now have 4 siblings in heaven and still have 3 here on earth. We live fairly far apart, so we don't see much of one another. My mom was a widow for over 25 years, she re-married a couple years ago to a wonderful man (we all love him). So, my life has been full of uncertainty and deep sorrow. Losing so many loved ones really can take a toll on one's heart. I miss my dad and my sisters and now my youngest brother (who died last Feb at the age of 29)
The economy is real challenging right now for nearly everyone, and we are no exception. We have a little countertop shop and with the downswing in the economy we are struggling to make ends meet. We pray that this economy will shape up soon.
